  • Financial technology platform Adyen partners with health and fintech Nelly to develop a financial operating system specifically for healthcare.
  • Provision of POS terminals, digital payments, bank accounts and corporate credit cards for medical practices
  • Market expansion to Italy: automation of billing for medical practices and flexible payment methods for patients

In order to further reduce administrative costs relating to financial topics in healthcare, health and fintech Nelly is cooperating with the financial technology platform Adyen, the preferred financial technology platform of leading companies. The partnership now enables medical practices to handle all processes related to managing payments via a uniform system integrated into existing practice software.

This means: From now on, medical practices can use Nelly as a digital solution for their payment processing, bank account and billing management, eliminating time-consuming work steps through interoperability with existing practice management systems. The partnership also makes it possible to issue corporate credit cards. At the launch of the strategic partnership, this is possible in Germany and selected European countries.

From patient admission to payment processing

By integrating Adyen, the entire management of all financial processes is simplified. With digital payment links, POS terminals, bank accounts and corporate credit cards, medical practices are able to process all payments and expenses via a single platform, integrated into existing systems. Both one-time transactions and regular treatment fees are processed by Adyen and Nelly in a user-friendly and up-to-date manner.

Payments are immediately credited to medical practices and can be used in real time via virtual and physical company credit cards. Adyen's digital bank accounts also enable medical practices to optimize their financial flows and receive attractive interest rates on unused capital.

Expanding to Italy

Nelly's cooperation with Adyen is also used for Nelly's market entry in Italy, as around 70% of treatments are carried out there on a self-paid basis.

The patient can now conveniently and in a modern way deposit their preferred payment method (bank account, credit card, installment payment, Apple Pay, etc.), and the billing of treatment costs and the sending of invoices is then digital and fully automated.

This means significant simplification and time savings for patients and practice. Advance payments and cancellation fees also increase the obligation to meet appointments. Nelly's new digital process also makes it easier to accept and pay for cost estimates.

Comprehensive banking offering on just one platform

“By expanding our offering to include payment and banking services, we are providing affiliated practices with banking services directly on the same platform on which patient and document management takes place, and which is seamlessly integrated into existing practice management software,” explains Niklas Radner, co-founder and managing director of Nelly Solutions. “Nelly is thus becoming a one-stop solution for modern medical practices that want to minimize their administrative costs and offer patients a first-class experience. ”

“Practices benefit from fast payment processes for patients on site in the practice and via smartphone and receive payment quickly and securely,” explains Hella Fuhrmann, Country Manager DACH at Adyen. “The collaboration between Adyen and Nelly aims to modernize the infrastructure of medical practices and ensure efficient and modern payment processing. ”
