1. How was DIE PRAXIS founded & what was your vision?
Our practice has been around for 20 years. I joined as a partner in 2007. My colleague Mischa took over the old founder's shares in 2011. From that point on, our journey began. Our vision was to set up a specialist center that merges cutting-edge technology with innovative dentistry. Every practitioner should concentrate on the cases that he is particularly good at and that give him pleasure. In this way, we guarantee our patients the best possible outcome.
2. What treatments does DIE PRAXIS offer?
We specialize in a wide range of dental specialties, including:
- implantology
- orthodontics
- periodontology
- endodontics
- Fixed dentures
- digital dentistry
- CMD (craniomandibular dysfunction)
- sports dentistry
- digital dentistry
We started with 5 employees, today we are a team of 55 people, if you include the employees of our agency “Massephase”. This impressive development underlines how crucial it is to rely on specialized and qualified specialists. Because this is the only way to offer comprehensive and high-quality treatments under one roof.
What is special about the combination of dental practice and orthodontics?
This combination enables us to handle complex cases optimally. For example, we can offer preprosthetic orthodontics, use orthodontics as an alternative to implants, or solve aesthetically demanding cases through a combination of orthodontics, veneers and surgical crown extensions. Our patients appreciate having all treatments and specialists in one place without having to switch from one practice to another.
3. Why does DIE PRAXIS attach so much importance to a modern public image?
On the one hand, this is our vision and, on the other hand, it is simply our way of communicating. We have already completed many projects to make our dental practice more pleasant for both patients and employees.
Ob our short film “DENTBOSS”, our website, our training center Berlin Dental Hub or our answering machine, which features George Clooney's voice: We put a lot of love into details that reflect our professionalism and care. This attention to detail is also reflected in our treatments, which is well noticed by our patients.
Because we are not doing these actions instead of good dentistry or good service but in addition!
4. What role do digital tools play in your dental practice?
Digital tools play a crucial role. We're completely digital. Just to name a few examples:
- Scanners instead of prints
- We print PVs (prosthesis restorations)
- We measure the bite digitally
- We match DVTs with scans to perform immediate treatments on implants or to plan and implement complex implantological cases in a navigated manner
- We mill our own crowns and bridges
- We plan our implantological and prosthetic cases on the computer
In this way, we can make the highest quality reproducible and also safe for the patient.
But we have also heavily digitalized the organization and management. We use Medikit and Slack for our project management and communication tools in the team. When billing Let's work with Nelly and we use appointment booking software to make appointments.
5. Why did you choose Nelly as your partner for digitization?
Nelly makes many processes easier, especially when it comes to digital anamnesis and factoring. What used to be time-consuming, such as applying for installment payments, is now done with just a few clicks. The tool enables easy digital payment, which is a great advantage for both us and patients. We automatically send out the invoice digitally, and the patient also conveniently pays digitally. It couldn't be easier. Nelly's marketing evaluations and educational forms are also a great addition.
What are the benefits of processing invoices with Nelly?
By working with Nelly, we benefit from very good conditions in the area of factoring. Digital factoring enables us to manage and process invoices more efficiently. Special benefits include:
- Simple installment agreement: Patients can easily make their payments in installments.
- Digital invoice transmission: Invoices are sent via a link, which significantly reduces administrative effort.
How did you digitize your anamnesis and what are the benefits?
On the one hand, we need patients' specific medical data for the anamnesis. At the same time, the anamnesis also provides a valuable opportunity to find out what the patient may be looking for without being aware of it.
Questions such as:
- “Are you happy with your smile? ” or
- “Are there any aesthetic or functional aspects that you would like to improve? ”
help us to identify further patient needs. Even if the patient first comes to us for another problem, such questions can provide us with information that makes it possible to offer additional treatments such as whitening, aligner therapy or other aesthetic solutions.
Here is the crux of the matter: By digitizing the anamnesis, these processes can be made significantly more efficient. Digital medical history forms enable patients to fill out their medical data as well as their aesthetic and functional wishes from the comfort of their own home. This saves time, which can now be increasingly spent on optimal care for patients.
What experiences have you had with Nelly's Google Review feature?
Nelly's Google Review feature has significantly improved our practice assessment. We used to rarely actively ask for Google reviews, but with Nelly's support, we now have more reviews than ever before. This helps us improve visibility on search engines like Google and increases trust in our practice.
6. How did the staff react to Nelly's digitization?
The introduction of Nelly was received very positively by our team. Employees appreciate the simplification of bureaucratic processes and the relief of digital processing, as this gives them more time for actual patient care.
7. How do patients react to digital payment options?
Most patients find it very intuitive and appreciate the convenience. You have to briefly explain this to some older patients, but they too usually find their way around quickly.
8. How do you see the future of dentistry in terms of digital solutions?
In our opinion, digital tools should be at the heart of every treatment. They do not replace medical skills, of course, but they take therapy to a new level. As specialists in particular, we benefit enormously from this.
And what other digital innovations would you like to see in dentistry?
The interfaces between each other could be simplified. Sometimes you want to combine different components from different companies in your digital workflow. That is sometimes difficult.
The problem is: Some companies try to maintain their status by remaining protectively closed to other companies. That is no longer up to date. Otherwise, you can still imagine digital innovation in the area of assistance. That would ease the job market somewhat.
Conclusion: THE PRACTICE as an innovator of digital transformation in dentistry
DIE PRAXIS impresses with its advanced integration of cutting-edge technologies and outstanding public image. At the same time, it relies on highly qualified top dentists who are experts in their respective fields. The combination of orthodontics and dentistry as well as the exceptional practice rooms create a unique treatment experience.
With the high level of digitization and a clear vision, DIE PRAXIS is setting new standards in dentistry.
